Manufacturing process.
So, the author chose just such a canister as a body.
Next, in its cover, and polypropylene lining, you need to drill a hole along the diameter of the cable. For PVA 2X2.5, it is 9.1 mm.
Now the author cuts a blank for a sleeve from a PVC pipe. The size should be a couple cm wider than the canister.
Cleans the ends of the workpiece with sandpaper.
Then marks the workpiece for the handle. He will make it from plexiglass, although plywood is also suitable.
Drill a hole for the pipe with a crown and cut the workpiece according to the marking. There will be two such details.
He also prepared a pair of discs, small in internal diameter of the pipe, and the second - the remainder of the crown. The edges and all surfaces of the workpieces are sanded with large sandpaper. It is necessary for gluing and painting.
Now glues blanks using second glue.
After the glue dries, it paints the parts black with spray paint.
Marks bushing holes. One of them is a little larger in diameter.
He drills the first with a crown, and the second he had to cut with a knife. There was simply no suitable crown.
The edges of the holes are processed with a petal nozzle.
A hole for the cable is drilled in the sleeve.
Then presses the pipe into the handle, and glues on both sides.
Drills and countersinks the screw hole.
Tightens the first nut, puts on the handle, and slightly attracts the self-locking nut. So the handle will rotate freely around the screw.
Pulls the cable through the hole in the sleeve, and the neck of the canister.
Next, paste the plug into the narrow edge of the sleeve.
It remains to connect the plug and socket.
Tightens the cable, and presses the socket into the wide edge of the pipe.
The cable is excellently rewound, and easy to unwind.
That's how the turns fit, nothing gets mixed up.
Such a coil protects the cable from building dust and splashes. In addition, if there is a different living creature, she will first have to ruin the box, and only then the cable. If you need a longer cable, just use a larger canister.
The weight of 15 m of the PVA 2x2.5 cable is 2 kg, and the canisters with parts are about 1 kg. So the carrying is also quite light.
