Manufacturing process.
The material for the manufacture of loops will be the old staircase railing of Brazilian cherry. On a circular saw, the author cuts them to the desired size.
Then, to obtain the desired thickness of the workpieces, glues the bars together.
In the frame part of the loop makes a cutout for the fist.
A fist protrusion forms on the door of the hinge.
Now Jack intends to connect these two blanks together and drill through their hole for the articulated finger.
The easiest way to do it this way is using a Forstner drill.
On a future fist, he marked the fillets.
After that, he rounds the corners using a band saw.
On the outside of the wooden part, Jack also makes pencil markings to give the loop a more elegant shape.
Now all the elements are cut to the desired size. The author connects them.
And as a hinged finger, he uses a half-inch wooden round timber. The protruding sides of the pin are cut with a band saw.
Here he is the very cabinet on which these hinges should stand. The wizard determines their location, how they will look the best. Then marks future holes.
The author makes holes for mounting bolts.
