Many of you have workshops, and you always want to expand the set of devices for them. And if you often have to paint, or handle heavy and dimensional things, then this homemade product will be very useful.
In this article, the author of the YouTube channel "Glavnyiy Mehanik" will share with you the idea of how he made a turntable from old automobile parts for his workshop.

Manufacturing process.
So, the author found such a hub on the metal receiver, it has oil seals on both sides, and it still rotates quite well.
In the same place he acquired a car drive. It must be cut into two halves.
Then the master cleans the disk of rust and old paint in a sandblasting machine.
It is now necessary to remove the fingers from the hub; they are not required in this project. The author simply knocks them out with a hammer.
Now it can be sandblasted.
Next, the master welds the hub to one half of the disk.
Having laid two steel strips, sets the second part of the disk, carefully centering it.
From the 30th steel strip cuts two billets.
Installs them in the design, welds to the disk and hub.
Almost everything is ready, the disk rotates perfectly.
The last step in making a turntable is to make a grill for it. Marks and cuts a circle, also cleans sandblasting.
It remains to weld the grate around the entire perimeter. And the homemade little table is ready.
One of the uses of this table is the welding of large round parts among themselves. By rotating the table with the details you can get a continuous weld.
The author has established for example a cargo weighing 20 Kg. Even with this weight, the table can be rotated even with one finger.
Also, this table will be useful when working with engines, and other complex units. Now you can not run around the device, but simply deploy it.
Initially, the author planned to use it in his sandblasting chamber, because through a small window it is very inconvenient to process details. Of course, such a table can also be used for coloring various details.
Among other things, it can still be used as a sports equipment, and train your back muscles.
