Hello everyone, here comes the time of the gardens, and I remembered homemade, which I once described, we will talk about a cultivator, into which you can turn a bender. The land in our places is quite badly launched, wheatgrass grows, and it grows literally 3 cm per day, only if you remove it with a hoe, you come in the morning and green wool sticks out again.
Also many annuals and other nastiness. Now the task has arisen of preparing a plot of land for seedlings, the land was plowed on April 30, and almost a month later the greenery managed to grow.
I decided to collect the nozzle for an ambulance in order to check the performance. I used an old three-blade knife for mowing grass as a basis. As the "spikes" used the old Soviet nails, they are much stronger than the current ones. I cut nails 3 cm with kopeks and welded to the blades. I installed 3 nails on each blade, at first I wanted 4, but even 3 turned out to be a lot.
He installed the nozzle, went to the garden, at first he tried to work as an oblique, in both directions, but he threw the barbell, the grass was not torn completely, but he removed 70 percent, of course. I learned to work with the tool towards the end of the work, the nozzle should go only in one direction, as when working with a manual scythe. You also need to do a little pressure so that the nozzle deepens into the ground. So, as a result, the cultivator cuts off about 2-3 cm of soil, this whole soil flies with a torch under his feet, but the torch does not even reach his knees in height, so I had rubber boots for protection. I did not use the shield for the braid, it is, of course, safer with it, but the earth would have laid in a different way.
The homemade product is standing, everything is working fine and it’s definitely easier than waving at +30 hoe, and you won’t get such land as in my photo. The result is a very soft, fluffy soil, all weeds are cut, torn and thrown to the surface along with the cut soil.
Of course, I did everything "to leave me alone", but the homemade product was checked - it works! And this is a cultivator, not some kind of weed. Of course, they can simply tear the grass, but from cultivation the effect is much steeper, the virgin soil turns into good soil for planting.
The engine runs under load, but not critical, I worked at a quarter of the gas, the engine is 2.2 kW. After work, my hands were pricked and itchy, as if they had beaten me with a nettle. This is all from vibration, the nozzle must be balanced.
I will definitely make a disk with good spikes and work, but I don’t need as many spikes as the author of the idea, it’s a lot. Two or, in extreme cases, three rows of spikes will suffice. If more - a heavy load on the engine, a large mass, and it is not necessary, in general. It is better not to drive the engine for a long time, you can overheat, it is designed to work at high speeds, and not like a tractor, under constant load. That's all, ask what you forgot to tell. Good luck
