Hello everyone, today we will consider an unusual method of modeling from epoxy. As an example, consider how to make a rose. An interesting fact is that here you will not need formwork, we will give the necessary form to the objects do it yourself. By this principle, you can produce a wide variety of projects, up to the details for homemade. If you are interested in the project, I propose to study it in more detail!
Materials and tools used by the author:
Material List:
- adhesive tape;
- acrylic;
- epoxy resin for pouring;
- dye for epoxy;
- a wooden stick.

Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. Bud
We start the manufacturing process with a bud, for this we need paper and compasses. To get started, make markup and draw four circles, as the author in the photo. Next, with a pencil we draw a figure, like the author’s, in appearance it resembles a flower. This will be our template.
On top of the drawing we put a sheet of acrylic, you can use glass, but then we glue the glass with tape so that the resin does not stick to it. We dilute the epoxy resin with a hardener and add dye. If the dye is not at hand, you can use the ink from the printer, the ampoule from the pen and other similar dyes. Our bud is pink, so add the right amount of dye gradually to achieve the desired color.
Now, using a stick, gently apply and spread the resin on acrylic in accordance with the figure. If the edges are uneven, it’s not scary, because even in nature there is nothing ideal. As soon as the resin sets and becomes rubber, pry it with a clerical knife, drill a hole in the center and set a wooden stick. Now bend the petals and fix them with adhesive tape, we will need to wait for the resin to harden. Next, we make the following petals, set them on top according to the same principle and so on until the victorious end. As a result, we get a great bud, very similar to the real one.
Step Two Trunk and leaves
Next, we make the barrel, we make the formwork of hot glue for using the glue gun. If desired, you can immediately make the formwork you need forms and pour the resin. We make hot glue formwork on a flat plane, which the author pasted with tape. If you do not plan to bend the barrel, then you can wait until the resin hardens completely.
We also make leaves, cast them from the resin directly on scotch tape or acrylic, and then remove it with bend, fix the shape of the leaves with tape and wait for the resin to harden.
Step Three Assembly
That's all, our homemade product is ready, it remains to collect everything, we glue everything with superglue. For reliability and a better appearance, all compounds can be additionally coated with epoxy.
