DIY bending machine-nozzle

Hello dear readers and the inhabitants of our site!
Many masters in the manufacture of various devices or structures have to deal with the need to bend various steel materials.
In this article, the YouTube author of George Kosilov will tell you how he made a simple vise bending machine.

Materials
- Steel pipe and bar
- Steel corner
- Two bearings 302
- Screw and nut M14
- Two tension rollers
- steel strip
- Nuts, screws, washers
- Spray paint.

Manufacturing process.
So, the author did not begin to remove the process of cutting the main blanks. He prepared four bushings from a 16 mm steel pipe, suitable in diameter to the steel round.

The length of the bushings coincides with the width of the corner.

He also prepared two corners 180 mm long.

Then he made a billet of steel pipe, the inner diameter of which coincides with the outer diameter of the 302nd bearing.

On this pipe, the turner, by order of the author, knurled.

Now, at the edges of the corners, you need to make holes in the diameter of the bushings (16 mm). You can quickly drill them with a step drill.

Further, the author rigidly fixes the sleeve and corner with a bolt and nuts, and welds the parts together.

It fixes both corners in a vice, and checks that the bar passes freely through both bushings.

At the edges of the first corner you need to fix both tension rollers. Their outer diameter is 60 mm, respectively, the author retreats from the edge of the corner 30 mm.

Drills holes for mounting bolts, and cuts threads into them.

Then it measures the thickness of the necessary lining - in his case it turned out 7 mm. As a lining, the author uses ordinary washers.

It remains to fix the rollers with a bolt to the corner.

I cut off 70 mm from the pipe, and pressed two bearings into it from different sides, and installed a sleeve between the bearings. They sat very tightly.

I drilled a hole in the second sponge, and cut an M14 thread in it. For the reason that the inner diameter of the bearing is 15 mm, and there are simply no such bolts, he will use the M14 bolt. Also lays a thin washer, and tightens the bolt.

Then the author cut two bars 150 mm long, and already welded a washer to one of them. It remains to weld the same to the second.

Now you need to weld the lever from the steel strip to the roller, cut off the excess, and screw the roller into place. In order to prevent sparks from welding from entering the bearings, it closes the roller hole.

At the edge of the lever, he drills a hole, cuts a thread in it, twists the stud into it, and clamps it with a nut.

For rigid fixation of the stud, the author welded it to the lever.

It remains to make the handle. She cuts a sleeve from a pipe, puts it on a hairpin. An extra chrome-plated pipe is put on the sleeve, and attracted by a self-locking nut.

After painting the parts, you can begin to test. Device set in a vice. As a test subject, the master took a steel strip, and pressing it a little with a vise, begins to rotate the handle. In a few passes, a ring with a slight overlap of the edges is obtained.

The edges must be incised and welded together. Then strip the weld.

After such procedures, a very worthy ring is obtained. It is suitable for example for a small barrel.

With this simple tool you can bend and profile pipes, steel round timber, and similar materials. Of course, it is possible to produce not only rings, but also various arcs, spirals, waves. The nozzle dimensions can be changed depending on your needs.
A similar device is described in this article, it is made by the author of the "auto resuscitator" channel.

Thanks to the author for a simple but useful workshop bending tool!
All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!
