Homemade rubik cube made of magnets and plastic

And you need to start with the purchase of source material. Thick plastic or organic glass is what 36 cubes should be made of, which you have to find in a store or on the market.




You also have to buy 216 small Chinese magnets (as shown in the photo). Finding these sources is perhaps the most difficult task. The rest is all doable.




Then you need a thin drill and vise. They need to hold a transparent cube, and then drill a small hole in it. The diameter of the drill must match the size of the magnets, and also the depth should be no greater than its height.




In each face, it is required to fix one magnet (Accordingly, in the center of the face). Magnets can be glued with transparent super-glue, or with epoxy.




Such an operation needs to be done with all transparent cubes. Yes, yes, with each of the 36. You need to glue the magnet so that the glue does not come out of the holes, and, accordingly, they need to be drilled one-on-one with the dimensions of the magnets.

You will need to cut squares in size that fit the edges of the rubik's cube. And then gently stick them in place. Making such a cube will take you a lot of time, but to make such a puzzle with your own hands is practically "aerobatics."
