Having a piggy bank in the house is a great way to save money on vacation-))) Especially when you can see how these savings increase in a transparent piggy bank made of acrylic. It was such a piggy bank that the Master decided to make.
For the manufacture of piggy banks he used the following
Tools and materials:
-Laser cutter (optional);
-Drill;
-Bandsaw machine;
-Scissors;
-Drilling machine;
-Acrylic;
-Plywood;
-Fasteners;
-Felt;
- Self-adhesive paper;
-Super glue;
-Aerosol adhesive;
-Sandpaper;
Aerosol varnish;
Step One: Engraving
If you don’t have access to the laser cutter, you can cut the acrylic manually. You can also apply a drawing manually using a template. The master has a cutter, and he engraves the drawing, and then cuts two circles.
Step Two: Mounting Holes
Drills mounting holes in acrylic. Countersinks.
Step Three: The Middle Part
The master glues several plywood boards. Glues the template and cuts out the middle part of the piggy bank. As you can see in the photo, on the one hand there is a coin acceptor on the part, and on the other the supporting part.
Step Four: Finish
The master paints the ends with black paint, and then varnishes the entire part. Glue felt onto the support.
Step Five: Build
Now it remains to fix the acrylic on both sides of the plywood part and the piggy bank is ready.
Here's an interesting product from the master.
