Manufacturing process.
To begin with, the author printed a template on a printer, and transferred it to a piece of drywall using a solvent.
Then he screwed the workpiece to the workbench, and milled shallow grooves according to the drawing.
Milling cutter did not cut through all the elements, the author modified them with a knife, and then cleaned the surface with sandpaper.
Then he assembled formwork from pieces.
Then Andrew started a cement mortar, adding various pebbles.
Here is a fiber from him managed to get.
Now the master gradually, layer by layer, spreads the solution, incorporating pieces of fiber into it. It is important to tap the mold well for better shrinkage of the material.
The next day, after the composition hardens, the master removes the formwork.
Next, you need to cut off all the faces with the help of a tile cutter, and peel with 220 grit fine sandpaper.
Here is such a beautiful brick turned out, as soon as it is turned to the light, a pattern begins to appear. Most importantly, the ends of the fiber practically merge with the surface, and are not visible from the side. And if you adapt the LED backlight to the back wall, you get a very original lamp.
