The bathroom often lacks space, and not all operations when taking a shower are conveniently performed while standing.
In this article, Alexei, the author of the YouTube channel Aleksey Leonte Workshop, will tell you how he made an unusual shelf - a seat.

Manufacturing process.
So, the author began with the preparation of wood, cut off the excess material, and spread the bars onto the boards.
Then he processed the boards on the thicknesser.
Putting emphasis on the board, he leveled the pattern, and marked all the boards.
Next, the master cuts the workpiece on a band saw.
The edges of the workpieces are processed on the router using a radius cutter with a thrust bearing.
Then the master goes to the lathe, and turns a few cylinders.
The resulting workpiece is cut into disks.
A hole is drilled in the center of the workpieces.
A hole of the same diameter is drilled in three places on the slats.
Now the author collects blanks using fishing line.
And then glues the discs and trims. Fixes the structure with clamps.
It remains to bite the excess fishing line.
The very places where the fishing line passes are sealed with thin discs.
Next, remove the dust and cover the product with Watco teak oil. Flaxseed oil is also suitable. And for even greater protection against moisture, you can apply a layer of wax, warming it with a hairdryer.
