Manufacturing process.
The author purchased a tank from an old washing machine in a workshop for repairing household appliances. It cost him only 200 rubles. He cuts the external plastic tank with a cordless grinder.
Then he knocks out the stock and takes out the drum itself.
Unscrews the spider from the drum.
Using a rust converter, covers rusty elements with it.
It performs the same actions with the drum. After some time, it treats the surface with a grinder with a cleaning disk.
A small workpiece is cut from a steel profile pipe.
Also, the master found a lid on the compressor of the refrigerator. It cuts off unnecessary details.
Having cleaned the surface of the lid, it drills a hole in the center, starting with a thin drill.
Then I marked three future holes around the perimeter of the lid, screwed them up and drilled them with a step drill.
Now strips the workpiece from paint and rust. These will be the elements of the barbecue rack.
Also, the master had to purchase several forged elements. He cuts one of the edges.
Welds the profile pipe to the lid, knocks the scale from the seams.
Additionally cleans the seams with a grinder.
He puts the workpiece on the rod of the crosspiece, and fastens it.
Now fixes the legs to the rack with magnetic corners, and welds them.
Then it welds four holders for the drum to the top.
Next, a pair of blanks for skewer holders is cut from a torsion bar.
Trim the unwanted part of the drum.
Places a cut processes sandpaper.
Paints the first structural elements with brown spray paint.
After the paint dries, the crosspiece is screwed to the drum.
Then it remains to paint the rack itself.
The paint dried up, and the author assembled the barbecue in working position.
Since the drum itself is made of stainless steel - no rains are afraid of it.
Now you can light a fire, and experience the barbecue! The master has already prepared barbecue several times, and the elements of the drum did not lead to temperature.
