Sometimes you have to deal with the reception of digital TV. And I want to say that with a normal signal, it perfectly takes on a small piece of wire. With a weak signal, this antenna will not help. As for the fact that she is not directed, I do not agree. And if you add an amplifier, then you need to put it right after the antenna, this is important. And further. No need for 50 ohm and thin cables. At such frequencies, each linear meter of even a good cable already makes a noticeable attenuation. Honestly, I didn’t understand why to use a cable as the antenna itself, I think it would be better to fork out a silver-plated wire or use a Soviet silver-plated cable, using a braid. Which is shown, I know what shit it is made of. Braid iron and aluminum foil. The central core, at best copper, but also met iron. It can not always be soldered with acid. Sorry for being blunt.
Of course, it differs from a piece of wire for the better due to directivity and a narrower strip. It simply cannot be presented as a universal solution for any digital TV. Like any antenna, it must be calculated based on their frequency of the received signal.

But I don’t agree about the log-periodic period. If the frequency spacing of the first and second multiplexes is large and the signal is not too strong, then I agree. And if, as in Ivanovo, for example, TVK 57 (762 MHz) and TVK 59 (778 MHz), then broadband is not required, you can use narrowband, and if you also have a sufficiently strong signal, then, especially, a log-periodic signal is not required. If you argue, without delving into the details of a particular place, then - yes, LPA will be a universal solution.
