I welcome all fans to craft, today we will consider a very useful homemade, which will allow you to easily clean various iron and not only iron parts from rust, oxide and dirt. It will be about such a device as a tumbling machine. Such a device works fully automatically, you only need to load the parts into the machine and pick them up already clean and shiny in an hour or two. The assembly of the homemade product is quite simple, you can assemble it practically from the trash, and the machine consumes little current. Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. Vibrator
To begin with, we will manufacture a vibrator, due to which the whole machine will work. As a basis, we need a low-power motor, the author used the engine from the washing machine pump. If you need a large and powerful machine, you can adapt the motor from the washing machine. It is highly desirable that the engine speed can be adjusted.
On the motor shaft, we need to install a weight with an offset cent, which will generate vibrations. The author picked up a nut by the thread of the motor shaft and welded a larger nut to it on the side. The farther the weight is from the shaft, the stronger vibrations it will create.
Step Two Capacity
Now we need to find a suitable container for homemade. It is highly desirable that the metal of which the container is made is as thick as possible. The fact is that inside the container the abrasive will move in the form of pebbles and sand, which will rub the container.
The author adapted an old cylinder for such purposes, if you decide to cut a cylinder out of flammable gas, do not forget to take all measures so that the cylinder does not explode during cutting! Typically, the cylinders are filled with water and carefully cut, then there will be nothing to explode. True, there is always a chance that condensation will light up, so be careful.
Step Three Base engine mounting
We will make the basis for homemade work, it will be mobile with us, and mobility is ensured by springs on which the base is fixed.We need an iron sheet, cut out a shape similar to a circle, and cut a hole in the center for the motor shaft. We securely fasten the motor to a sheet of iron, the author used self-tapping screws, but it is better to use bolts with nuts, since the motor can easily escape from vibrations.
We also drill holes in the sheet and wrap springs in them, weld the ends of the springs. Other sides of the springs can be attached to plywood and so on.
Step Four Assembly
Everything is almost ready, it remains to install the tank, to connect the tank to the base we need threaded rods or just iron rods, these parts will be used as legs that will allow the tank to be fixed above the engine. The author welded the rods to the tank, and they can be screwed to the base with nuts so that the structure can be disassembled. But note that nuts without engravers will be loosened from vibrations.
Step Five Test
The car is ready, you can test. First we need to find small gravel, the edges of the stones should be as sharp as possible. You can try crushing large stones with a sledgehammer. We also need coarse sand, it will be a fine abrasive that will pass into crevices and other hard-to-reach spots. The volume of abrasive is poured onto the eye so that the mixture does not move too fast and not too slow.
That's all, after that you can load parts for cleaning. The author collected rusted bolts and other details, loaded them into the car and left them for 45 minutes. After this time, the machine managed to clean the parts well from rust. To improve the effect, you can try pouring water into a container and pour detergent.
