Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. Form preparation
First of all, we will make a mold for filling, for a start we need a flat table or just a piece of sheet material. We stick tape on the table, this will be the basis, the tape can be easily removed from epoxy.
Next, we cut acrylic into 4 pieces and glue it into the box using superglue. Well, then hot glue comes to the rescue, we glue the joints well so that there are no gaps anywhere through which the resin can leak.
Step Two Sand layer and water
Next, fill the sand layer, for this we need well-washed coarse sand, and it will also need to be dried well. We dilute the resin with the hardener by weight and add sand there, mix the mass well and pour into the mold. As the resin thickens, you can set the desired shape for the bottom. Now we wait until everything dries.
Then pour “water” on top, add a little blue dye to the resin. As a result, the resin hardens and the formwork can be easily removed.
Step Three The waves
The homemade product is almost ready, it remains to add waves to detail. To make waves, we need a structural gel, the author most likely used acrylic. We apply the gel with a brush, set the desired shape, after hardening the gel will become transparent. After applying the right amount of waves, they will remain painted white under the foam. As a dye, you can use a resin with the addition of a white dye.
