Many of you like to relax in the fresh air, and cook food. But what if the big bonfire cannot be built, and the usual primus is absent?
In this article, the author of the NightHawkInLight YouTube channel will share with you the secret of how to make a camping stove in five minutes - a primus from an old canned tin can.
Materials

- Can-opener.
Manufacturing process.
A tin can of medium size is suitable for this, but you can take a larger one. In this case, increase the number of air inlets.
Similar holes are made as follows. First, an air inlet is made in the side wall of the can so that the wide part of the slot is at the bottom. The result is a ledge.
If you attach a punch to this protrusion, a lever is formed that allows you to cut a similar hole in the bottom of the can. The tin in this part is much denser, and the process requires more effort.
Then, the cut out sheet of tin first returns to its original place, and then bends outward along with the previous lapel. These will be the legs of the future stove.
So the author does this operation 3 more times. As a result, the jar acquires tin legs and four air intake holes. The legs are quite soft, bendable, so that the stove can be easily set in level. And at the same time, they are quite durable due to two layers of metal.
The same holes should be made in the upper part of the can along its rim. There will be a total of 8. All of them are removed from each other at the same distance. This design will allow the air stream to mix with hot smoke and maintain combustion.
The sharp edges of the cut flaps simply wrap around the rim.
And now testing! The furnace is extremely easy to operate. At the bottom of the makeshift stove, for starters, small sticks, the size of a match, are absolutely dry. They act as primary fuel and then help to rekindle larger branches, brushwood, and tree bark. For ignition, the author uses a conventional lighter, which he brings to one of the lower blowing holes.
Gradually, after the primary fuel burns out a bit, and larger branches fall on top of it, the flame becomes more convenient for operating the altitude.
For cooking, it is most effective to use a special stand for pots. If there is none, you can simply put the pan directly on the rim of the stove. But in this case there will be much more smoke, and the stove will smoke a little. Before you stand a triangular shape. But it can be of all kinds of configurations. Instructions for its manufacture are abundant in the network. In the end, you can simply order or buy it.
The author bought this model in a grocery store. The stove is placed inside, and a pan is installed on top.
Such a stand is also convenient because the pan does not have to be made up every time from the stove when the next portion of fuel burns out.
But what can be cooked up on such stoves in the field. The parrot doesn’t mind eating either.
