I want to talk about a simple device that will be useful to those who have to stretch wires and cables.
It is often necessary to pull a wire or cable from a hole in the ceiling under a lamp or a security or fire alarm sensor, a video camera. And also from a junction box when installing an electrician, under a switch or wall outlet.

Very often it is difficult, inconvenient to do this with tweezers or pliers, it takes a lot of time and effort.
On sale I did not come across suitable fixtures and I decided to do mine.
I took a steel wire with a diameter of 2 and 4 mm. The wire was taken not soft, but elastic.
He also took part of the belt from the bag that had become unusable.
I used pliers, pliers, a hammer and quite powerful nippers from the tool.
First, with the help of pliers and a hammer, I straightened the wire.
Then he cut it with wire cutters into pieces of various lengths. In total, I decided to make six for different cases. Five of 2mm wire and one of 4mm.
Then with the help of pliers and round-nose pliers he gave the ends of the wires the shape of hooks and rings.
I made the shape of the hooks and their sizes different, based on my experience in drawing wires and cables.
Hooks are designed to grip and pull the uncut wire, and rings are used to grip and pull the end of the wire. In this case, the ring is put on the wire, the device rotates around its axis, the wire is captured at the same time and then stretched.
The advantage of the device is that the insulation of the wires during these manipulations is not damaged, even in cases when pulling requires a lot of effort.
After that I hardened some hooks at the ends. He heated in the upper part of the flame of the gas stove to red and sharply lowered it into a container of water. Then held until completely cooled. The length is not tempered. Perhaps hardening was not needed, but it did not get worse.
Long-term practice of using this device has shown its effectiveness.
It is always in my suitcase with basic tools. So that all six hooks are in the kit and see which one is better to use, they are pulled together by a strap from an unusable bag.
I plan to make some additional hooks of a different shape and size so that you can pull out the corrugated hoses and hoses.
