This homemade product is very simple, and it can be done in a few minutes.

Manufacturing process.
So, the first thing the master marks on the plywood sheet the contours of the future holder, given its length and the shape of the handle.
The author has a workbench in which an electric jigsaw is installed on the underside. On such a device, he cuts the workpiece for the handle.
It processes all faces and edges after sawing on a petal stripping disk.
Then the handle is sanded with sandpaper.
After these processes, the workpiece can be burned with a gas burner.
Now it remains to drill a hole for hanging in the shank, and the clamping bolt.
As clamps, he will use two of these furniture mounts. They need to be slightly bent in a vice with a hammer.
These are the two clamps turned out.
Using a screw and a nut, it fixes the clamps on the handle.
On a piece of sandpaper marks the width of the tool, and cuts off the strip.
It remains to fill the sandpaper under the clamps, tighten it, and tighten the screw.
That's all, you can work with a tool! Of course, it can be made of another width or length. It all depends on you. Also, instead of the usual nut, you can use the wing nut, but most likely it will interfere with operation. And based on the simplicity of the tool - such can be done for each grit of sandpaper.
And one more nuance. It is advisable to glue the surface of the holder with a strip of foam rubber or leather about 1-2 mm thick. This will increase the spot of contact of the paper with the workpiece.
