Steampunk Tricycle





An interesting product was provided for review by the Master. And it is no less surprising that the material of which this tricycle is made is EVA, or, in a simple way, polymer foam. Lightweight, resilient with excellent shock-absorbing properties - this material is used in many areas of modern production. This, and shoes, and rugs, and insulation, and much more. It was from such material that the master decided to make his product.

-Acrylic paint;

-Wire - 40 cm;
-Tube 20 mm;
-Tube 16 mm;

Epoxy resin;

-Pipe cutter;

Step One: Template
The template can be downloaded at. The template is printed on a 1: 1 scale and cut out.




Then, according to the template, the pattern is transferred to the foam. On each sheet of the template it is indicated on the foam what thickness it is transported to, where to cut, and where to make a hole, etc.





There is an easier way to transfer the template. If you have a laser printer, you can print patterns on it. Then you need to put the sheet on the foam and wet. When the drawing is clearly visible through the paper, the paper must be removed, and the foam, with the transferred pattern, dried.



Step Two: Cutting
Cuts workpieces.




Step Three: Gluing
The foam has a smooth surface and for better adhesion, the master smoothes out the glued surfaces with sandpaper. For gluing uses contact cement. Glues parts as in a photo. These are stocks of a butt and a drum.








Step Four: Center Tube
The weapon will have three trunks. One barrel will go through all the weapons, starting from the butt, and serves as a support. The master cuts the pipe to length. Cleans with sandpaper.



Heats the tube with a construction hairdryer and bends it.


So that the tube does not move, the master wraps part of it with wire, and cuts out grooves in the butt.





Now you need to glue the part of the tube that will be visible with a copper tape. The tape has a sticky layer.the tape is glued along the tube. The width of the tape is not enough to cover the entire tube and another strip of foil is glued from below.






Glues the tube to the butt.




Step Five: Butt
Cuts the edges of the butt, gives it the desired shape.





Sanding with sandpaper. After sanding, the butt warms up with a hairdryer. This operation will melt fine tears and the foam will become smooth.





Step Six: Two Trunks
Of the tube makes an additional two barrels. The manufacture is similar to the previous one. Then glues the trunks to the central trunk.









Applies glue between the trunks in the end part.

Seventh step: drum
Glues the details of the drum.













Step Eight: Staining
Apply black soil.







Apply bronze paint to individual elements.


Step Nine: Camora
Prepares the tube.





Collects a drum.





Step Ten: Pads
Makes a front pad.








Sets the pad and glues the drum.





Glues back pad.





Step Eleven: Decorative Parts
Further, the master glues decorative elements.



Pastes butt plate butt.






Glues strips on the rib.






Glues the strip onto the drum.





Step Twelve: The Sight
Now the master goes on to make the sight. Cuts off the tube. Makes a holder.













Stains the details of the sight.



Step Thirteen: Screws and Wires
Glues yellow and green circles. In part, these circles make cutouts, as on screw heads. The second part punches holes.





Installs wires.




Puts droplets of epoxy.





Step fourteen: trigger and bracket
It makes a trigger and a trigger guard from plastic.








Installs them.



Secures the mount of the sight.



Step Fifteen: Painting
Apply bronze paint.






Silver is applied to some elements. Apply varnish to all painted parts.





Step sixteen: stub
Secures the sight.





Installs the plug on the trunks.


The three-barrel is ready.
