I welcome all fans to craft, today we will consider how to make such an interesting thing as electric sneakers. It will be a kind of rollers that are driven by electric motors. Each engine is controlled via Bluetooth. Of course, to ride such electric rollers, you need to get considerable experience on how to manage them and how to stay on their feet. Homemade manufacturing process:
Step one. Mechanics
First of all, we will analyze the skateboards, you need to unscrew the axles with wheels from the boards. Next, we determine which wheels we will drive, the author's engines are on the sides relative to the legs. To install belt pulleys on wheels, lengthen the axles. Just cut off the native axes and weld the bolts instead.
Next, we make markings on the wheels and drill holes, in the end it remains to screw the pulleys to the wheels with screws and nuts. We fix the wheels on the axles with self-locking nuts. As for the engine, it is attached to the axis using a special bracket.
The belt drive is reduced, to reduce speed and increase torque.
Step Two Electronics
The author remade the electronics to control himself, control is via Bluetooth. Of course, it is reasonable to make the system synchronous so that when turned on, both motors operate at the same speed. But it seems that the author of each engine is individually controlled.Power control occurs through special power controllers at 80A, for a more detailed connection diagram, see the photo.
Step Three Accumulator battery
The battery is assembled from four 21700 cells, these are high-capacity lithium cells, each cell has a capacity of 4000 mAh. The author connects the contacts by spot welding, in series, to obtain a voltage of 14.8V. The cells themselves are glued together with double-sided adhesive tape. At the end, we put a heat-shrink tube on the battery and solder the wires.
Step Four Assembly
We are assembling a homemade product, as a basis we will need strong plywood, we attach axles with wheels to it.
Next, we install sneakers to the plywood according to the size of the driver, securely glue the sneakers and in addition they can be screwed with screws and nuts.
We install electronics, which includes a transmitter and a speed controller, in the rear part, there are less chances to get hit. Electronics can be put in a plastic acrylic case. For added protection, the author cut off pieces of tires from a hoverboard and mounted over the electronics.
That's all, the homemade product is ready, you can experience it. The author rides on his invention without problems, but considerable experience will be needed to control such a technique. The diameter of the wheels allows you to ride on asphalt and concrete, and for grass you need to put more wheels.
