I welcome all fans to craft, today we will consider how to make an unusual coffee table from wood and shaped pipes. The table top is made of oak boards, which the author burned. Homemade painted black, and countertop boards are screwed to the frame using interesting decorative screws. The author screwed the wheels to the base of the table, which makes it easy to move the table. Of course, the design and color of the table is quite unusual, it’s all about taste. But you can make a table for yourself and a different color with a similar design. One way or another, if you are interested in the project, I propose to study it in more detail!
Materials and tools used by the author:
Material List:
- boards;
- profile pipes for the frame;
- bolts and nuts;
- suitable steel parts for decorative screw caps;

The process of making a table:
Step one. Preparation of boards for countertops
The author did not have boards for the table, so he sawed them from a piece of log. We cut the boards to the same length at a right angle, it is also desirable to achieve that the boards become the same thickness. We lay out a rectangle or square from the boards and check whether everything turned out to be done correctly.
Step Two Frame materials
We cut the materials for the frame, we need 4 pieces of a large-diameter profile pipe for the legs. Three legs will be short, and one long, the countertop will be held on one long leg.
We also cut thin profile pipes for the upper and lower parts of the frame. In the upper frame we drill holes that will allow us to screw the countertop with nuts.
Well, for the lower part you will need pieces that connect the legs together.
Step Three Decorative screws and firing
Details for decorative screws can be found in a hardware store; they come in the form of steel flowers, leaves, and so on. We weld bolts or threaded rods to these parts.
Next, you need to ensure that the caps of the decorative screws are buried in the wood. To solve the problem, the author heats decorative screws and burns wood with them.
We also have to make plugs for three short legs; decorative screws are also used for their fastening. A plate with a nut is welded inside the legs, into which a screw is screwed. The author burns the plugs and boards for the countertops and then brushes them with a wire brush. The wood can also be washed, do not wet the tree for too long, otherwise the boards may twist.
Step Four Assembly
So that the table can be easily moved, we install wheels on the legs. For their fastening, the author welded plates to the legs. Next, you can weld the frame, and we also manufacture and weld the decorative parts that the author bent from a bar on a bending machine.
To highlight the decorative screws, they can be painted with golden paint. A sheet of plexiglass is also installed in the lower part, on the lower frame, which can be fixed with screws. The result is a convenient shelf for books and other things.
At the end, the table can be painted, coated with oil or varnish as desired. This is the end of the project, the home-made look looks interesting, however, the colors have sad hues, but it's not for everybody.
