Ax manufacturing process:
Step one. Remaking an old ax
We take an old ax and cut off the blade from it. The author’s ax was already digested many times, and therefore it was time for him to retire. We also cut off a piece of the round pipe and with the help of a hammer we flatten it a little, the handle will go here. We also cut out a triangular part from thick sheet steel and weld all the parts well.
In conclusion, the author welds a steel plate with a pattern to the ax to increase strength and decorative purposes.
Step Two Hatchet
We make an ax for an ax, the author used reinforcement as a material. We weld two pieces of reinforcement with jumpers. The end of the ax must be brewed as an author, this part will go into the ax and it should be strong.
At the end of the hatchet is a welded rod with a thread, it will allow you to pull the handle.
Step Three Handle manufacturing
We make the handle, it should be made of a material that absorbs vibration well, in our case it is rubber from a car tire or the like. We cut the rubber into pieces, punch or drill holes, and then install the pieces on an ax.Of course, an ax of steel plate should be welded on the ax.
When the handle is assembled, tighten the entire structure with a nut.
Step Four Completion
At the end, the handle is well grinded with a grinder, you can install a flap or other grinding nozzle. We form the desired profile and make the handle smooth.
We also clean welds and paint the ax well. After painting, you can lightly grind to highlight the picture. The ax is ready, it remains to install it on the ax. The wedge is used steel, but for greater reliability, the ax can also be welded to the ax.
