A table of two computer cases + add. the ideas

The author of Instructables under the nickname OrfiB found that unnecessary computer cases are an excellent designer for making of furniture. If there is an ordinary rivet.

The author will turn these two cases into a table with a shelf, quite stylish and minimalist:

Since the master still has a riveter and a lot of new rivets, he carefully drills the old ones, disassembling both cases:

Next, he makes a simple 3Dmodel table, while without shelves. Cylinders in the second visualization indicate the location of the rivets. When modeling, the author takes into account that the side panels should not protrude above the countertop, otherwise it will turn out ugly and uncomfortable. At the back are additional elements that give homemade stiffness - the upper covers from the cases will go to them.

The master core in the side walls from the buildings of the hole drilling site, then drills them. Some parts already have holes in the right places. Two side walls from the cases will go to the side walls of the table, one to the countertop, and one more to the shelf. The diameters of all the holes are 4.5 mm. When drilling, the master recommends gaining speed smoothly, but almost everyone knows that.

Having drilled all the holes, the master proceeds to assemble the table with the help of a riveter. In addition to panels, the master also adds a part from the frame, which is visible on the front of the finished product. It also adds rigidity to the structure.

Well, the work on the table is over, and the master photographs the finished result. Together with the riveter, without which nothing would have happened.

You can add additional shelves to the table, or you can fix it on the wall, and he himself will become a shelf. But the thin metal from which it is made does not allow it to withstand significant weight. Even a kinescope 14-inch TV or monitor is better not to put on it. LCD - possible, but not more than 21 inches. In general, they noticed that at least a little bending - everything, the load is excessive. The master plans to add additional stiffeners to the table, as well as color it. Further, he offers additional ideas for using furniture from disassembled computer cases in furniture:

Each of the tables shown above can be made by taking just two side panels from the cases and adding wooden parts to them. That is, instead of one table from two cases, on the contrary, two tables from one case will turn out, and the frame and top panel for other homemade products will remain. Just like "eight cakes and one candle."

The master points out that the possibilities of using computer cases in home-made furniture are not limited to braziers at all. They are endless. Housing parts - frames, metal top and side, as well as plastic front panels - can be used without adding anything other than new rivets, or in combination with other parts. The main thing is to remember that the metal is thin, and not to overload the furniture. And hide, grind, or somehow close all sharp corners and edges.
