Surely many of you have encountered such a problem when in a small room with a minimal amount of of furniture it is difficult to place the necessary things so that they do not interfere, but are always at hand. This article is dedicated to solving this problem. In it, the author will tell you how to make a convenient folding shelf.
Tools and materials

Step One: The Basis
First, the author cut the board to the desired size 19.7 x 48.6 x 1.4 cm.
Then he marked the holes that would need to be drilled.
Step Two: Markup
I measured the width of a wooden board and divided it into 4 rectangles with a size of 4.925x 4.4 cm. Then I divided the side of 4.4 cm into 2 in the first rectangle and marked a hole in the middle. And he did the same on the other side.
After that, the author divided the long line of 48.6 cm into 8 rectangles - seven 6.075 cm long and one 5.7 cm. Divided the last rectangle (5.7 cm) into three smaller ones 1.9 cm long. Then I divided the height (1, 4 cm) by 2 and marked the point for drilling holes. I marked the other side of the board in the same way. Then he drilled holes in the marks.
Step Three: Preparing the Dresser
On the side of the chest of drawers marked places for hooks that will hold the shelf, as well as for chain hooks.
To keep the hooks securely in the side of the dresser, he turned wooden dowels, drilled holes in them
and inserted plastic dowels into them on super glue.
Then the author drilled holes of the required diameter in the wall of the chest of drawers and pressed dowels into them.
I screwed the hooks outside.
Step Four: Finishing and Installing the Shelf
Shelf painted in the tone of the dresser.
I screwed the hooks into the drilled holes, and to keep them firmly, I pre-greased them with super glue.
Ready shelf secured to its rightful place. On it, the author stores his column, and when this is not necessary, raises the shelf up.
