Lamp from an old kerosene lamp

Greetings to all readers and the inhabitants of our sites. Often in landfills or in a pile of scrap metal you can find original antiques, which after a small restoration can turn into a home decoration and be useful. The main thing is not to pass by them, as the author of this homemade did. He turned an old kerosene lamp into an original lamp.


Tools and materials

5. color coating: I chose black forged paint and silver paint

Step One: Prepare
First, the author completely disassembled the old lamp. Washed a glass flask and wiped dry with a rag. He processed all metal parts with sandpaper to remove rust and old paint.



Step Two: Painting
When all the metal parts were cleaned and polished, the author primed them and painted them with the paint of the desired color. Dried all the elements.

Step Three: Build
To fix a bulb inside the bulb, the author cut a circle of suitable diameter from the board.

Set it inside the base and secured with three screws.
Then I drilled holes in the wall of the base and in the center of the wooden disc and made a wire through them. The free ends of the latter are connected to the cartridge, which is then tightly fixed to the disk with self-tapping screws.




Next, the author screwed in a light bulb and assembled a lamp. Everything is ready to install or suspend the retro lamp in the right place.
