Greetings to all readers and the inhabitants of our sites. Recently, on the Internet, I came across an article in which the author from an old ironing board made a convenient folding table that can be used both in the workshop and in a small room. I share this idea with you, dear friends.
For the alteration, the author required the following materials:
• Ironing board.
• Wooden board 19 mm thick.
• Screws and washers 5x15 mm.
• Rubber foot pads.
• Spray paint in the right color.
Step One: Prepare
First, the author removed the ironing board from the metal frame, and also increased the length of the legs fixing mechanism. If necessary, it can be replaced if you have another available.
Step Two: Painting
Since paint peeled off on the metal frame during use and in some places small areas of corrosion appeared, the author decided to fix it. He cleaned all metal parts with sandpaper, primed and painted. Immediately prepared a wooden shield - cut to the desired length and width and varnished the front surface.
Step Three: Build
The author placed a wooden shield on a workbench with a varnished surface down. He laid the metal frame upside down. Using screws and washers, I screwed the mesh base to the shield.
The table is ready.
