Surely among the masters there are those who like to work at night or just watch an interesting movie or series. In this case, you just need to make a beautiful backlit keyboard. One of the most interesting options is "modding".
In order to make such a highlight, you will need the following "ingredients":
1. Moment glue or superglue. You can try using another glue, the main thing is that it is perfect for plastic.
2. Small clamps.
3. A 3-meter neon flexible cord with a voltage of 9 V.
4. Actually the keyboard itself.
The main task for us is to lay the cord in such a way between the buttons inside the keyboard, so as not to damage anything in it, but at the same time make it glow. Of course, this does not mean that the keyboard will glow completely evenly, but you can highlight a part.
First, on the back side, bend the edges of the keyboard cover. In this place the neon wire will pass. This must be done in advance, otherwise you will not be able to put the cover back in place.
Now glue the neon cord with a few drops every few buttons.
So, you have laid the entire cord. Now you need to make a small hole at the bottom of the keyboard so that you can output the power wire. If the back of your keyboard is concave, then you can even put an inverter for power or a unit there.
There is another way - to extend the wire and connect it to the keyboard wire. And the battery itself is already installed inside the system unit. This option will probably be neater, but harder, so be careful not to damage other cords.
If you do not want to constantly think about replacing the batteries, you can immediately buy a universal transformer. It is small, in addition, you yourself can choose a voltage from 3 to 12 V, which means that the brightness of the backlight will change.
By the way, you’ll have to get used to the fact that neon is quite noisy, moreover, the noise is noticeable, so the transformer can help you regulate this option as well.
The second way to highlight
There is another way: a keyboard that glows with a piece of LED garland. Such device any newbie will do, moreover, it will take no more than half an hour to do this. Such a keyboard will become very convenient for you, because you can work on it in the dark. And it will not light up the monitor.
You can try using a USB output that connects to the system, but the voltage for the diode strip is very small, you need not 5V, but at least 12V.
The charm of diodes is that you can choose exactly the color of the backlight that you like best, and, optionally, it should be blue or silver, you can find pink or yellow - a great solution for the color of the interior.
