Manufacturing process.
So, as the basis for homemade work, the author chose an old sewing machine, and completely disassembled the lower mechanism.
Even after unscrewing the mounting screws, the frame did not separate. I had to use a hammer.
At the base of the frame, the master drilled a through hole for the axis of the rear wheels. It will be made of steel studs.
A rectangle was cut from a steel strip across the width of the base of the frame, and rounded to it two corners.
To transfer the center of the hole required for the mounting bolt, the author uses a simple technique. He applies a layer of white paint with a clerical corrector around the hole, and applies a blank to it. This is a very inaccurate method, but for coarse products it will do.
Then the author drills a hole in the plate, and attaches it to the bottom of the frame. This will be the leg support of the tractor driver’s figure.
The foot is removed from the clip, and it is cut by a grinder.
Now a nut is welded to the needle shaft and the rest of the clamp. It turns out something like a bicycle fork.
The bolt is shortened and a stud is welded to it. It will serve as an axle for the front wheels of the tractor. The author does not tighten the bolt completely, so the front wheels will be able to turn.
Next, the rear axle is inserted into the frame, and is fixed on it with two nuts on the sides. One nut is also screwed onto the front axle on each side.
For the full credibility of homemade, you need to make a "seat" for the figure. The author decided to make it from an old stainless steel slotted spoon. I drilled a hole in the center of her handle, and cut off the excess. Clamped in a vice, and bent at the necessary angle. More precisely, you can adjust it later.
The finished seat is welded to the rear of the frame.
Almost all the preparatory work on the assembly of the tractor is completed, it remains to put on the wheels on the axle, and tighten with nuts, putting washers on both sides.
Excess studs are simply cut off.
Now the master begins to make figures. He cuts a trunk from a profile pipe, and a pair of legs from reinforcement. Clamps workpieces in a vice, and bends them.
As toes for his feet, he decides to use ordinary nails, and welds them to the workpieces.
Excess nails are trimmed off the heels.
Heels are welded to a plate screwed to the frame, and a body from a profile pipe is welded to the pelvis.
The author made hand-made blanks from thick wire, and bent them at the elbows.
For the fingers will be trimmed from nails, but with the tips out. He fixes them in a vice, and welds in the wrist.
Welding a hand to the hand, slightly bends the fingers.
Both hands are welded to the upper body so that the fingers rest on the “steering wheel” of the tractor.
The face of the tractor driver begins to form from a wide washer and a pair of nuts.
Such a bolt under the hexagon will fit for the nose.
Next, a part of the hat is welded, and lips are made of thin wire.
The head is welded to the body, and already to it is the upper part of the hat from the nut.
As headlights will be a pair of small screws and nuts M8.
The author cuts out and bends an exhaust pipe for a tractor from an old pipe.
Wheel rims, as well as silver parts of the axles, are painted with black spray paint.
That's all, tractor tractor - the master is ready to go! Yes, this decorative thing can not only decorate your interior, but also please children. It is only necessary to correctly tie the rope to the front axle of the tractor.
I thank the author for the simple but original idea of a souvenir for skilled people!
All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!
