Surely each of you has to dry clothes. Well, if there is a lot of space for this, or a special dryer.
In this article, the author of the YouTube channel Aleksey Leontev Workshop will tell you how to make a beautiful and compact dryer with a bar length of 650 mm.
Homemade is a little complicated to manufacture, and will require some carpentry skills and tools.

Manufacturing process.
First of all, the master prepares ash boards, forming two base surfaces on the workpiece.
Then the board is sawn with a circular saw into two parts.
The base surfaces are obtained, now it is possible to process the second parts of the board using a surface gage.
The author marks the centers for gluing dowels on the processed blanks.
Holes for flat dowels at the ends of the boards are made with a lamellar milling cutter.
The dowels are glued into place, and both boards are pulled together with clamps. So the author forms a durable shield for the base of the dryer.
The outline of the shield is now marked. Surprisingly, the author does it all manually. Moreover, almost symmetrical contours are obtained. Better to use a template.
The workpiece is sawn on a band saw.
All radius curves are aligned using a belt sander. Then they are processed on a milling table with a radius mill with a thrust bearing.
So, the shield for the dryer is almost ready. It is necessary to mill grooves for suspensions, and screw them into place.
For the manufacture of planks, the master resorts to a very difficult method. He glues a small bar to the processed board, then connects it to another, even board.
Now, when running through the thicknesser, the board receives a wedge-shaped profile.
After processing the board, it can be cut into slats, which will be the main elements of the dryer.
Then the author processes their faces using a radius cutter.
A long groove cuts through the wide edge of the slats.
The disks for the base of the suspension are marked and cut out.
All cut elements are glued together, and fixed with clamps.
After gluing, the master starts turning one of the sides of the workpiece. Excess material is cut off.
Now the outer radius is pierced and the basic shape of the surface is set.
It remains to refine the overall surface of the "plate", and the parts for the bracket are almost ready.
The processed disk is cut into two halves.
A hole is drilled in it, and both halves are interconnected with glue.
Next, you need to make a jumper, and drill holes for the half ring.
The author connects the shield and both halves of the pendant to each other.
In the center between the disks an additional spacer is glued.
The hole from the fixing self-tapping screw is sealed with such a plug.
Now, through the structural elements, the author passes a half-ring from a copper tube, and puts slats on it. This is a trial build.
Be sure to cover all the parts with linseed oil in several layers. The finish can be a regular acrylic varnish.
That’s all done, now you can put the slats in horizontal mode, and hang clothes for drying on them.
It turned out very beautifully and compactly. Moreover, folding and unfolding it device literally in seconds.
Naturally, everyone can choose the dimensions when repeating this homemade product for themselves.
