In this article, the Wizard will show us how to make a beautiful wooden hammer that can be presented, for example, to a joiner or judge.

Step One: Material Preparation
First, the master cuts the wooden blanks to the desired size. He uses maple for the handle of the hammer, walnut and maple for the head.
Step Two: Head
Then the master glues the head. On a nut die, at the edges, it applies carpentry glue. In the middle of the die, puts the handle blank. Glue two maple blanks on the sides. From above the same sticks a nut die. Clamps the part to be glued with clamps.
After gluing, cuts off the head on both sides at an angle of 3 degrees. Grinds giving the desired shape.
Step Three: Pen
In handles, the master makes cuts and cuts two grooves for wedges.
Next, the master polishes the handle to form the desired shape, and cuts it in length.
Step Four: Wedges
From a walnut carves two wedges.
Step Five: Insert
Marks the installation locations of the inserts. There are three of them on each side. Milling cuts out grooves.
Cut the wire to the desired length. Apply epoxy to the grooves. Installs the wire in the grooves. Fixes with clamps.
After the epoxy hardens, the master grinds the protruding part of the wire. The inserts should be on the same plane with the overlay. Sanding with sandpaper.
Step Six: Build
Now you can assemble the hammer. Apply carpentry glue to the handle. Stuffs the head. Clogs wedges.
Cuts protruding parts of the handle and wedges. Grinds.
Seventh step: finish
Now it remains to cover the hammer with whatever the finishing composition. The master uses oil.
