The author of Instructables under the nickname Nodel talks about a simple home-made horn for a smartphone (or a push-button phone with a receiver and / or MP3 player), made in the form of an old gramophone. An amazing paradox: a gramophone is such a thing that not every modern grandmother has found, many of them already had more compact gramophones in their childhood. But at the same time, almost everyone knows how he looks, thanks to the logos of the Golden Gramophone and Grammy awards, modern figurines in souvenir shops and the like. homemade. Now the story repeats itself with a floppy disk: despite its obsolescence, it will look at us for a very long time from the many save buttons, even in mobile applications. Like other external horns, the proposed design requires that the speaker grill of a smartphone or push-button telephone be small and located on the back wall.
The master begins work on the speaker by printing templates in the SVG format, which he laid out at the following links: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. Having printed out the templates, he cuts them out:
Calls the kote to watch and control:
Imposes patterns on a corrugated cardboard and cuts out all the details:
Some of the details require bending, which the master does. Some of the bending lines are pre-pushed with a scissor handle. The master’s scissors are wrong - their pens are not replaced with plywood, as in one of my recent translations. Kote does not take his eyes, but does not make comments (i.e. does not yell) - which means that the master is not mistaken anywhere.
The master glues the reflector first with masking tape, then with hot melt adhesive.
It collects the base and puts a reflector into it in such a way that it directs sound waves into the socket that has not yet been assembled. Due to the layer in the camera’s work, these frames were lost by the master.
Assembles the top cover with an inclined plane for placing the phone on it. In an inclined plane, make a small hole so that it is under the speakerphone grille of the telephone. If the device is planned to be used alternately in conjunction with different phones, it is advisable to make the inclined plane interchangeable, for which it is necessary to provide guides.
It collects a bell from identical parts - from real gramophones they were sometimes assembled in a similar way, only these parts were metal.
Entrance of the collected bell:
Puts in the hole in the top cover, shown in the photo above:
Glues a bell. Installs the top cover with an inclined plane and a bell on the base with a reflector and also glues it.The horn is ready, you can use:
And kote approves:
