Now the question remains, how to feed the animals with honestly obtained corn, the grains are large and such food is not suitable for all cattle. To quickly grind corn and any other grain into groats or into flour, he can make himself such an adaptation based on a grinder. Manufacturing process homemade:
Step one. Housing
The casing for the mini-crusher was an old steel pan; the author had to wash it for a long time. And due to the fact that the pan was arched with frozen water, she also had to trim the bottom.
Next, in the center of the pan, we drill a hole for the grinder shaft, it is better not to make a big gap here, otherwise the flour will wake up. The author decided to fix the pan with three screws, there are holes for them in the grinder body.
If there are no such holes, the pan can be screwed with furniture fixing corners to the gear case. You can find corners in a hardware store.
Step Two Knife making
We make a knife, we are looking for a piece of sheet steel. As a knife, a piece from an old two-handed saw can come up, there is good steel, which should not be dull. We cut off the plate and drill in the center, and then bore the hole under the shaft of the grinder. Sometimes I do such things with the help of a welding machine and a graphite rod from a battery; it burns holes in rather thick steel.
The knife must be well balanced, otherwise strong vibrations are inevitable, and this is dangerous and not professional. Measure with a ruler the distance from the edge of the hole in both directions and cut off the excess. Of course, this way the knife will not become perfectly balanced, but the beats will not be palpable. Sharpen the blade depending on the direction of rotation of the knife.In order for the cereal to mix well and grind, you can slightly bend the blades of the knife.
Step Three Assembly and testing
We install the knife so that it can be easily put and removed, the author welded a “Bulgarian” nut to the wheel hub of the bicycle, it rotates with the knife. You can test, if there is a dimmer, it is better to start the experiment at low speeds to see if the vibrations are strong. Or you can sharply insert and pull the plug out of the socket so that the grinder could not manage to unwind the knife to high revolutions.
The author’s homemade product works without problems, you can get cereal or even flour from corn grain, depending on how long it takes to thresh the grain.
