Recently, various methods for joining profile steel pipes have already been described.
In this article, the author of the YouTube channel "SL Sanda", will tell you about another unusual method that is useful for decorative solutions, or specific compounds of structures.
Materials
- Profile pipe 40X40 mm
Instruments, used by the author.

—
- Cutting and cleaning wheels
—
—
- Vise, anvil, hammer, chisel
- Roulette, square, marker, ruler.
Manufacturing process.
So, the author will need to demonstrate this method, a section of a profile pipe 40X40 mm, and a length of 400 mm. He cuts it off on a miter saw.
He removes the burrs from the edge of the workpiece on the same miter saw and cutting disc. It is absolutely impossible to do this, because the disk from such actions becomes thinner, and can simply burst.
Now the author marks the center of the workpiece.
A distance equal to the width of the pipe must be retreated to each side of the mark.
Transverse lines are marked on all sides of the extreme marks.
After this, you need to outline the diagonal lines in the following way.
First of all, the master cuts the edges between the extreme transverse lines.
But the transverse and diagonal marking lines are only cut.
Now you should bend the side surfaces along the diagonal lines, for this the author makes several hits on each side with a hammer and a chisel, turning the workpiece.
He fixes one part of the workpiece in a vice, and clamps the second with a clamp.
To form a spiral, you need to rotate one part relative to another 90 degrees.
The lateral ribs of the resulting spiral are aligned with a hammer on the anvil.
The workpiece is aligned and prepared, now you need to carefully boil all the seams.
And here is the last stage of slag removal and stripping of joints. To do this, the master nevertheless found a safe lobed stripping disk.
This is what this interesting screw connection looks like after processing.
I thank the author for an unusual and interesting way to connect a profile pipe!
All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!
