As it usually happens, after coating the finished product with a layer of finish varnish or paint, we naturally place the product directly on a table, workbench, or on a sheet of paper. What follows this? - That's right, adhesion ... In simple and affordable language, your product simply sticks to the surface with all the consequences that follow.
In this article, Woodsmith’s YouTube author will tell you about a simple way to prevent this unwanted effect. The author offers the attention of readers to the ugliness of a simple way to dry the finished product.
Materials
- Sheet perforated cardboard
- Golf ball stand.
Manufacturing process.
This will require only two components: a square of pressed cardboard with perforations and plastic golf stands (tees). Ordinary corrugated cardboard and plastic toothpicks can also be used.
The author inserts the coasters through the holes in the cardboard, lining them in the form of a quadrangle.
Turns a cardboard with supports on the table surface - now the pegs are aligned, and can withstand a fairly large weight.
The author carefully places his product on top. The sharp tips of the pegs will leave nothing but tiny dots on the surface of the product.
In addition, the topcoat on the bottom of the part will dry much faster, because it is blown from all sides by air.
I thank the author for the simple but useful device for the workshop!
All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!
