Hello, friends the inhabitants of our site! In this article I want to tell you how do it yourself You can make a secret for your car. You say why the "secret"? But because only you will know about the place of its installation. How does she work? A reed switch is installed in a convenient, inconspicuous place under the plastic inside the car. You sit in the cabin, insert the key into the ignition switch, bring a small magnet to the installation location of the reed switch, start the engine. Then the magnet can be removed, car will work. If you do not attach a magnet to the reed switch, you will not start the car. Homemade scheme shown in the photo.
It works as follows. When the contacts of the reed switch are closed, power is supplied to the relay K 1. It works, and its contacts K1.1 self-locks. In this state, the relay will remain until the ignition is turned off. The second contacts of K1.2 will include a previously open power supply circuit of the starter relay or the fuel pump relay, and so on. You can open any power circuit, any automotive relay. In addition to the starter solenoid relay circuit, since the reed contacts do not withstand high currents. Yes, and the contacts of the K1 relay then must be designed for more current. When the ignition is turned off, the power circuit of the above relays will be open again.
To assemble this homemade product, we need the following parts and tools:
This is any small-sized relay that reliably operates from 12 V, with two pairs of open contacts. It is possible and automobile. Reed switch, small magnet, mounting wires.
Instruments: Soldering iron, solder, tweezers, wire cutters, pliers, electrical tape or cambric.
We assemble as follows:
Step 1. We solder the parts according to the scheme. Check the correct assembly.
Step 2. We connect 12V power from the power supply or from the car battery.
The plus of the power supply is per reed switch, and the minus one pin of the relay coil winding 1. To the K1.2 contacts we connect a multimeter in the resistance measurement mode.
Step 3. We bring a magnet to the reed switch.
(I have it in a plastic case, like the reed switch itself)
I used the reed switch brand IO102-! 6 / 2. And then everything is described above. After the reed switch is triggered, the multimeter shows that the K1.2 contacts are closed, thereby closing the circuit of the fuel pump relay cut off by us. We remove the magnet - the circuit still remains closed.
All this is shown in the photo.
Step 4. Install homemade in the car. And check her work.
I end it all.
I wish you all success in your work!
See you again.
