Although Halloween is more like an American holiday, but not some ideas that Halloween masters realize in their homemade, worthy of coverage on other continents. This homemade product is interesting in that it can be adapted to other conditions, equipped with additional functions. For this Halloween, the master has an invitation to visit the plant pavilion. On sale there are some artificial plants decorated under the "horror". These are both static and moving models. All of them, for whatever reason, did not satisfy the master. And then he decided to make such a flower on his own.
The manufacture of this homemade product took the master two months, and this is understandable, he did almost everything on his own, through trial and error.

Step One: Gears
To make eight tentacles, the master laid out the gears in eight rows in size. In the largest gears, the master drills four holes around the central one.One small diameter hole for wire, the rest for springs.
In the remaining gears, it drills two holes opposite each other.
Step Two: tentacle frame
Gears are fixed on a cable. In the lower part, on the cable, the master installs a black tube. Through the holes in the gears, the master pulls the rope.
Step Three: Casting
The master collects the ninth frame and pastes over with a blue masking tape. Then the clay for sculpting gives the desired shape.
Makes a mold. The tentacle is lubricated with petroleum jelly and placed in a cardboard box. Fills it with plaster. The master repeated this procedure several times. Some of the gypsum castings were damaged, and he placed the whole in a kiln.
Step Four: Shell
Now you need to make a shell. The master mixes silicone with glycerin, adds lemon juice and green and yellow dyes. Lubricates forms and fills them with the resulting composition. The middle part and one edge of the mass are oiled and connects both halves.
When the mass dries, the master removes the shell and gently disconnects from one side. Then, on the edge of the shell with hot-melt adhesive, it applies thermofilament.
Step Five: Mechanical
From a plastic cutting board, the master cuts a circle with a diameter equal to the inner diameter of the pot. In the middle of the board cuts a hole for the engine. Drills holes around the perimeter according to the scheme.
It installs and fixes the ends of the tentacles (cables) into the holes marked with red dots.
A cord is attached to the blue and yellow holes.
In the pot, drills a hole and stretches the wire.
In order for the tentacles to move, the master cuts a circle from the rest of the board. A bearing is mounted in the middle of the circle. Sets the circle on the motor shaft. Around the ring secures the ring. Swivels fasten to the rings. Tie cords from tentacles to swivels. It is not necessary to pull strongly.
Now you need to turn on the motor. The tension of the tentacles is regulated using springs that are mounted between the gears.
Step Six: Scenery
The mechanism is ready and now you need to decorate everything. For this, the master uses batting and previously made shells. The shell is attached to the board through the remaining holes.
Adds moss, and artificial plants.
