Hello!
There are many ways to give your jewelry a fresh and beautiful look. Over time, jewelry can darken, fade or become black. I will talk about the easiest and most affordable way to clean them. And you only need 2 ingredients that can be found in your kitchen: baking soda and foil. If you don’t have them at home, you can buy them at any hardware store.
The procedure is very simple and takes about 20 minutes.
You will need:
1. Baking soda
2. Foil
3. Bowl
4. Waste Toothbrush
5. Hot water
I will check the method on such a bracelet.
The last time they did not wear it and it noticeably faded. Well, let's try to return to it its former beauty and brilliance.
I took a small glass bowl and covered it with foil. You can simply cut the foil into pieces and put on the bottom of the bowl.
I pour baking soda. I took 2 teaspoons. If you want to clean a large amount of silver at a time, then take more soda.
Boiled a kettle and pour hot water into a bowl.
Dropping a bracelet into the bowl and wait until the reaction is over. During the reaction, bubbles are released. Once they stop, silver can be obtained.
Somewhere in about 10 minutes the reaction will stop. The water became dark and cloudy.
Now I take out my bracelet and brush it a little with a toothbrush.
It remains to rinse with clean water and dry.
This method is suitable for cleaning almost any jewelry. You can also clean table silver. But there is one BUT! If the jewelry contains natural gems, then in this way it is better not to clean, because stones may fade.
My subject became as good as new. The stones did not darken, and the silver returned to its original luster.
It is necessary to clean silver at least once a year. If necessary, then more often. And so that the jewelry does not fade or blacken, they should be worn more often, and stored in a dry place, away from medicines, various cosmetics and household chemicals.
That's all, thanks for watching!
