Although the era has come electronic media, some of you prefer to read books in a classic, paper version. However, it happens that when reading a book you have to hold it with both hands so that the sheets do not fold.

This homemade product is extremely easy to manufacture, and can be done using hand tools.

Manufacturing process.
First of all, the master drew the contours of the future product on an oak board. Then he cut off part of the board, and spread it in thickness.
In the central part of the workpiece, a hole is drilled with a Forstner drill. It does not need much accuracy. Further, it will be clear why this hole is needed, and what diameter it is.
The workpiece is fixed in the vice of Moxon, and the edges of the hole are rounded with a rasp.
Now the workpiece is cut along the contour with a band saw.
The outer edges of the workpiece are ground on an orbital and drum machine.
All surfaces are sanded with fine sandpaper by hand.
It remains only to apply a layer of dark impregnation for the tree. After a few hours, excess impregnation is removed with a rag.
So, the product is ready, and has a beautiful appearance.
How does it work? The hole in the fixture is for the thumb. So it will be convenient to hold the book with one hand.
