Do-it-yourself paraffin burner (stove)

Hello dear readers andthe inhabitants of our site!
Many of you are interested in hiking and hiking, and you cannot do without a good and reliable stove. Of course, there are gas primuses, but they have several drawbacks.

In this article, the author of the YouTube channel “Samodelki Vitmana” will tell you how to make a simple and unpretentious burner literally from trash.

This homemade product is very cheap to manufacture, and will not take you much time.

Materials
- Paraffin
- Can
- Corrugated cardboard.

Instruments, used by the author.
- scissors
- Marker, knife.

Manufacturing process.
First you need to make a housing for the burner. A can of canned food or drinks is suitable for him. First of all, the author marks the cut line on an empty tin can with a marker in this way.

Then the can is cut around the circumference with a knife or scissors.

Next, you need to make a wick. It should have a very large burning surface, so it should be made of corrugated cardboard. The author cuts a strip with a width equal to the height of the can.

Such a strip is twisted and installed in the housing.

But its length was not enough, and the author adds another strip, twisting them together.

It was necessary to take into account that the bottom of the can is convex, and the cardboard will not completely sit in the case from it. The edge of the cardboard must be cut so that it protrudes above the walls by several millimeters.

Now you need to melt the paraffin candles, or ordinary pharmacy paraffin, in a small metal container.

It remains to fill the burner body with molten paraffin. This should be done gradually, because cardboard should be well saturated with fuel.

After cooling, such a burner has excellent moisture protection, does not sink, and burns perfectly even in severe frost.

The author sets fire to the central part of the wick, it should be made slightly elongated.

And after a few minutes, the paraffin will melt, and the burner will work at full capacity. Besides the fact that it is possible to cook food on it, it gives a lot of light, and works (depending on the design) from half an hour to two hours.

After cooking, you can either blow it out or cover it with another iron can. If there is still much paraffin left, then after cooling this device can be used again.

Do not leave open fire unattended!

I thank the author for a simple but useful device for hiking and heating food!
All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!
