DIY Hanging Foldable Clothes Dryer

Hello dear readers andthe inhabitants of our site!
Each of you has to dry clothes in the house, on the balcony, or on the street. However, various designs and ropes often interfere when not in use.

In this article, the author of the YouTube channel "self-build. 林 久" will tell you how to make a compact folding dryer that can be hung in almost any convenient place.

This homemade product is extremely easy to manufacture, and can be repeated even inhome conditions.

Materials
—  Clothes pegscarbines
- Pine slats
- Aluminum strip
- Impregnation for wood
- Screws, blind nuts M3
- Ring screws
- Clothesline
- steel wire
- Sandpaper.

Instruments, used by the author.
—  Screwdriver
- Hand planer, chisel
- Shilo, marking planer
- Screwdriver, wrench
- Vise, hacksaw, file
- Square, pencil.

Manufacturing process.
So, the author had such a plastic folding dryer, however it was inconvenient, and the plastic quickly collapsed due to exposure to sunlight.

He made a short sketch of the future design on a piece of paper.

Then he cut a few pine slats along the length, and worked them with a hand plane.

Using a marking surface marker, the author drew the center lines on all the planks. Then, at their ends and in the middle, I drilled holes for the connecting screws.

Sharp edges are also processed with a planer and a chisel, then ground with sandpaper.

All surfaces are treated with wood impregnation, linseed oil or varnish.

The following is a simple assembly of structures using screws, washers, and blind nuts.

The result is such a folding accordion.

Now the master twists four screws-rings into each lower bar. The two upper rings are screwed only at the ends. Clothespins will be held on these rings.

Then, screw rings for suspension are screwed into the two central upper trims.

Further, a simple pendant is created from a clothesline and a ring.

Only the latch is left of the parts. In the aluminum strip, the master drills and countersinks the hole.

The strip is cut to the required length, its edges are processed with a file.

A tooth is formed on the second side of the workpiece.

Everything is ready, and the latch can be screwed to the top of the structure.

To fix the dryer in a closed state, you will need one more screw on the end rail.

It remains to attach the fishing carabiners to the rings, and already to them - these are stainless wire clothespins.

The most interesting thing is that carbines in this case are practically not required. You can slightly bend the wire on one of the legs of the clothespin, and hook it directly onto the ring.

Using a simple hook made of steel wire, the author hangs the dryer on a pipe. After that, it is easily opened and fixed.

Here is a plain device happened! When folded, this dryer will practically take up no space in the pantry. Of course, when repeating this homemade product, you can change its size and number of sections as you wish. And as a material for battens it is better to choose hardwood.

I thank the author for a simple but useful device for drying clothes in the house or on the street!
All good mood, good luck, and interesting ideas!

I think bed linen can’t be hung up, but for socks (or a sock?) Will do!
