Productive pump - drill head

I welcome all fans to craft, I propose to consider instructions for making a powerful productive pump do it yourself. Of course, the power of such a machine will largely depend on the power and number of revolutions of the drill used. The author of the video shows how homemade forms a fairly large fountain, the pump instantly pumps out a huge bucket of water. This homemade product can be used for pumping water, irrigation and other needs. Alternatively, you can adapt the drill on the battery, if you need to pump water from the lake when washing the car and not only. To build a homemade product, a lathe was needed, if the project interested you, I suggest studying it in more detail!

Materials and tools used by the author:

Material List:
- steel pipes;
- Sheet steel;
- steel rod for the axis;
- nuts with a plastic retaining ring;
- paint.

Tool List:
- lathe;
- Miter saw;
- grinder;
- welding machine;
- a vise.

Homemade manufacturing process:

Step one. Housing
First of all, we make the body for the pump, as a material the author used a piece of steel pipe. The pipe was cut to the desired length, the author successfully removed the rust with a turning cup, and on the same side he trimmed the edges of the pipe.

The upper part of the pipe needs to be welded, here we need sheet steel. Cut the plug and weld into place. At the end, the author turned the plug into a round shape on a lathe.

In the lower part of the pipe, the author drilled holes through which water will enter the body. Under the axis, the author drilled holes in the plug clearly in the center, using a lathe.

Step Two Fixture for a drill
We make fasteners for the drill, the author picked up a piece of steel pipe of such a diameter that the front of the drill tightly entered into it, where the handle is attached. If the pipe is too big, it can be compressed to the desired diameter. The drill is fixed with a screw, we drill a hole under it and cut the thread.

We remove the fasteners away from the pump casing so that water does not splash onto the drill, steel plates helped this author.

Step Three Axle and Propeller
We make the axis for the pump, in this we need a steel rod of suitable length. At the end of the rod, it will be necessary to cut the thread by removing a certain amount of metal on a lathe. Thread will be needed to secure the propeller with nuts.

You can also make a propeller, all this is done quite simply, cut out a circle from sheet steel, and then mark it up and make four cuts. The screw is almost ready, it remains to bend the blades slightly. To increase the efficiency, the attacking edges of the blades can be sharpened.
After the screw, a piece of the thrust axis is placed on the working axis, it is attached to the main axis through a long nut.

Step Four Assembly and testing
We put the axis in the pump casing, weld the bottom, pre-drilled a hole under the axis. Now it remains to paint the pump, and then you can put a drill and test. The flow of water is quite strong, the pump pumps large volumes of water, and the lift height remains unknown. Of course, to get a higher column of water, you need to increase the number of impellers and reduce the gaps between the blades and the casing.

One design flaw is that there is no gland or even any shield; a little water gets on the drill, which makes homemade unsafe.

The project is completed on this, I hope you liked the homemade work, and you found useful thoughts. Good luck and creative inspiration, if you decide to repeat this. Do not forget to share your ideas and homemade things with us!

Yes, it’s ... Dangerous crap. Okay, the shurik on the bunks, and if the drill is on 220V. Water will fall, and "Hello to parents" (C)
Nafi, Nafik, to the therapist (C)

It’s a pity that the spray did not fall into the hands and into the drill manifold, a funny video could have turned out! xaxa
