This homemade product will be made without the use of glue, and various metal parts.

Manufacturing process.
So, Michael chose a rather thick old oak branch, which for a long time was a frame for a cat's claw, as a material for this home-made, and it dried very well. He cuts off part of the branch with a Japanese saw.
The quality of wood drying can be checked induction wood moisture meter. A feature of this device is that it has settings for a dozen different types of wood, and does not measure on the surface of the material, but in its thickness.
It will carry out further processing already on a band saw, it separates a log of the required size for the case, and also removes knots from a thinner branch, it will serve as a lever.
Before further processing on a lathe, you must first remove the bark from the workpiece.
At the ends, the master marks the center, and pricks it with an awl.
The first turning of the part is carried out by a reaser at 1500 rpm.
Further, with the help of the Meisel, the cylinder diameter is brought to a size of 75 mm.
The primary processing is completed, it is time to proceed to the core drilling. For this, the minimum engine speed of the machine is set at 360 rpm.
A chuck with a Forstner drill with a diameter of 50 mm is installed in the tailstock, and a groove is made to the maximum possible depth, because the drill itself is short.
As a result, Mikhail managed to make a recess in the cylinder with a depth of 115 mm. The full length of the case will be 150 mm.
With the help of a raiser, the master gives the back of the workpiece a parabolic shape.
The outer and inner sides of the workpiece are primarily ground with sandpaper 80 - 120 - 240 grit.
The following is a standard trick that sometimes wizards skip. The surface of the part is wetted with water, and left to dry for an hour. In this way the pile rises.
After drying, the surface became very rough. Finishing sanding with fine 320th paper now follows.
The workpiece is cut using a Japanese saw, and a hole with a diameter of 30 mm is drilled in its back.
Still, I had to return to the lathe, and slightly smooth the transition from 30 mm to 50.
The second part is machined on a lathe, first turned with a raiser, then with a mäsel, and polished. The dimensions of the finished round log are as follows: length 300, diameter 30 mm.
This round timber is now trimming on both sides on a circular saw.
The master sets the emphasis on the carriage at a slight angle, glues the workpiece to it with hot glue, and cuts the part along.
The body itself also needs to be cut at an angle of about 35 degrees. He also glued this blank to the carriage, and made a cut.
Everything is ready, it remains only to apply several layers of linseed oil to the parts.
