The master, who decided to make Russian accounts, the Chinese suan-pan or the Japanese soroban, has to figure out where to get so many identical knuckles. The solution, meanwhile, lay on the surface for a very long time and almost merged with it until it was discovered by the author of Instructables under the nickname rlopez21: apply in homemade nuts. By the rods in his own do it yourself Suan-pan serves bamboo chopsticks - just Chinese. In addition to nuts and sticks, the master also needed a photo frame (not digital), a hacksaw and a file:
Saw off the sticks to such a length that they fit tightly into the photo frame, from which the substrate was previously removed, but not the back wall with the stand:
Collects everything on hot glue. The partition necessary for making a suan pan or soroban is obtained from the same stick, but sawed off to a different length so that it fits perpendicular to the rods. Installs it behind the rods. If you are making Russian invoices, a partition is not required.
Reduces the stand so that it is more convenient to use the Xuan pan due to the different tilt angle. Adds the stylus holder and the stylus itself (optional accessory, you can move your knuckles with your fingers).
The device is ready. But there is one drawback in it: the distance between the rods is too small, the knuckles of the adjacent rows can touch each other. It is better to reduce the number of discharges, but increase the distance between the rods.
You can also remove the back wall and the stand in general, and instead use the side walls that lift the structure above the table so that it lies horizontally, but there is a gap between the knuckles and the table.
