Hello everyone, Dear Sirs, friends and guests of the project! I decided to present you to my court homemade. Clothes dryer made of PVC pipes. Do not judge strictly. Crafts I don’t want to say a lot, but I have. But for the first time I put it on public display. As well as writing an article on my own for the first time. It’s easier for me to do something than to describe it. Well, enough forewords, let's move on to the dryer itself.

Materials and Tools





After the repair (replacement of heating, water supply), PVC pipes and fittings for them remained. Lay dead capital in the garage. But then the thought came to my mind, and why not make a clothes dryer out of them, all the more it is needed on the farm, but all hands did not reach just to buy it. And here the pipes are not particularly needed. Well, in short, my son and I dragged this whole farm into the house. And they began to design. I will not describe how to solder pipes (this should be familiar to the masters), I turn to the components.

The upper part where the cable will be pulled.


Legs and struts under them.


Side "wings", a cable will also be pulled over them, and struts under them.

Polypropylene pipes differ not only in their outer diameter, although it is precisely according to it (and not according to the remote control, like steel ones) that they are selected. (This is the main parameter!).
They are simple and reinforced. Reinforced are fiberglass and aluminum. In addition, they differ in working pressure (PN), and the wall thickness depends on this parameter .... Which also depends on the properties of a particular type of polypropylene from different manufacturers.
(There is a common misconception that reinforced pipes can withstand more pressure than ordinary pipes! That’s not so! More precisely, not quite so! Yes, reinforced pipes are not lower than PN20. But this is due to the fact that they are made mainly for heating systems, where weaker ones do not apply.In fact, if we compare the PN20 pipe of the same outer diameter and the same manufacturer, we will see that the simple one has thicker walls! (The maximum allowable pressure should be the same - PN20!). And reinforcement is used for the sole purpose of reducing the coefficient of linear elongation during heating! Polypropylene has a very large KTP, therefore, "without restraining the fittings", this pipe will sag significantly when heated, even in short sections ...

Right, not in vain Valery I was criticized that in the description of my homemade product “Floor hanger from the stand from the fan and the water pipe” I didn’t indicate the parameters of this ... bite the pipe. For the sake of interest, I will measure the external and internal diameters.

I saw a mistake sorry I'm sorry. And the pipes, really thick-walled, remained with the heating. And they bent a little, because the cable pulled.

Someone recently told me from regulars that no one here is reading the article, not even the admin. Judging by mistake, albeit a typo, but in heading! Apparently the way it is. Not a complaint, just a statement of fact.

At the expense of PVC pipes, I made a rod for MD from them, the elasticity of the pipe depends on the manufacturer. And you need to take thick-walled, and even better inside to drive a glazing bead.

The question is this. In the summer I made repairs (I mentioned in the article in passing), made an arched opening from drywall, I would like to share this method on the project pages. There are several photos and a short video, but not in one photo (video) there is no indication of this project. These materials have not been published anywhere. What to do here? The only thing I can do is take a photo of the finished arched opening with an indication of this project. But will such materials be counted? I can add links in Photoshop, but, as I understand it, such materials can not be published.

The design really turned out to be somewhat awkward, but ... the first pancake, as you know, was also not ideal nea . I stumbled upon this project quite by accident (a couple of days ago) and I wanted to quickly try my hand scratch . I couldn’t come up with anything smarter dontknow . Yes, and the meaning of the project "Do it yourself", but the purchase is not that. Thank you for your wish ok . We will continue to work.

To buy a more elegant and easily folding - folding means your hands didn’t reach, and did you get to spend time on manufacturing a few awkward (in my opinion) designs? To assemble such a design - to disassemble my spouse every time would force me, but do I need it?
