For those who use AA, AAA, and 18650 batteries a lot, quite often both the batteries themselves and their chargers turn out to be scattered anywhere. The author of Instructables under the nickname hjoachim figured out how to make sure that they are not lost and are always at hand.
Basis homemade the craftsman picks up the Ikea Dragan bamboo box. It consists of three compartments: the box itself and two small removable containers mounted on top of it. In principle, it is possible to store batteries and chargers in it without modification, but it is more convenient with it. The wizard compiles a file for cutting additional parts with a laser and spreads it here.
After laser cutting all the parts, the master collects two organizers from them, one of which is designed for batteries of standard sizes AA and AAA, the second - 18650. In the following photo, the first one is shown not yet installed in the container, the second one is already installed:
Assembling both organizers and installing them in containers is done by the master without the use of glue - everything holds without him. The openings for storing AA and 18650 batteries may require a little adjustment with sandpaper. The design will look even better if the same paper is used to remove small chamfers wherever possible, and to polish the planes a little.
By removing any of the containers, you can access the lower drawer, in which the chargers are stored. The file also has a round emblem, which, if desired, can also be cut with a laser and glued to the box with PVA glue. Depending on which batteries you have more and which ones less, the upper walls of the organizers in the file can be altered accordingly before being sent for laser cutting. So, for example, the owner of a large number of flashlights on 18650 batteries can adapt both organizers to store only such batteries. And the one who holds a large collection of cassette players of the nineties, changing their passics and other components in them, can make the storage only for AA batteries.
