The author of Instructables under the nickname cbeatty1 placed an arcade machine based on the NES game console in the proposed simple case, but any other will do, provided, of course, that it is vintage. From the Soviet to the Wii, they survived, now this is vintage. Only the layout of the inclined board to accommodate the controllers will change.
The master begins making the case by cutting two identical side panels with dimensions of about 2100x600 mm. The notches in them can be made arbitrary, similar to those shown in the next photo, but always the same. To set the distance between the panels, it uses a chest of drawers of such a width that a TV fits on it. But, of course, the master is not at all going to block this chest of drawers in the case. Where the TV will stand then, see further.
Having pulled out a dresser, the master makes the bottom and top. To the bottom, it attaches rollers from a broken skateboard to the bars. Translating one of the articles, I thought that only children would break skateboards by negligence. But then I saw a competition for one stunt. There you have to jump on a skateboard onto a narrow bench, like in a school gym, so that it is positioned exactly across the bench. And then a second jump to cut the skateboard in half. What is the point in the trick, it is not clear, but the masters will come from where to get such videos.
The master adds to the body an inclined panel for game controllers, a shelf for a TV, and a back wall:
Front covers, doors at the bottom of the case:
Close up irregularities, primer:
Adds a front panel located in front of the TV, it also primers, then it paints everything. Do not forget to make holes in this panel for sound output. It would also be nice to provide a hole in front of the TV photodetector, and even holes in the side walls to cool it. And even better - a fan with a grill and filter on one side and just a grill with a filter on the other.
Since there are four controllers (two gamepads, a large joystick and a Zapper gun), and there are only two entrances to the console, they can be switched again by opening the doors. Some types of consoles allow controllers to be switched only when the power is off.The console itself can stand at the bottom or another shelf. You can also store cartridges or discs there, depending on which console is used.
