Wide, multi-function slide rule

The author of Instructables under the nickname landimatteo decided to make a very wide and multi-functional slide rule. Let's see what he did.

Here the wizard finds individual files with scales that can be combined in a makeshift ruler as desired. This allows you to get a ruler of different widths, depending on the number of scales. The master draws up a ruler with the set and scale he needs. He gets a PDF file that he uploads here.

Cut strips:

And prints the scale:

Glue the electrical tape on the movable bar so that it moves tight:

Using double-sided tape, glues the structure, leaving the middle bar movable, trying on a printout:

Sticks a printout:

It cuts it into strips, and the movable bar regains mobility again:

It makes the upper part of the engine, draws a vertical strip on it:

And then it completely collects the engine from plexiglass and two coins:

The line is ready:

Despite the considerable width, using the ruler is quite convenient. It is also advisable to make some kind of case for its storage and carrying.

How to listen to analogue music - there are no special objections. And the analog "calculator" - "Fi-and-and!"? )))
On the product itself: the engine must be spring loaded. Unless, of course, accuracy is of interest.

I’ll answer for the author, then, so that the brains do not turn sour, because modern youth cannot determine the time by the mechanical clock, and with the advent of GPS in gadgets and COMPASS they will soon unlearn themselves (or maybe they don’t know how). By the way, I taught my son to use the slide rule (yes, it was preserved), and I taught how to use the Felix mathematical meat grinder (also preserved), but can you use these tools if necessary?

WHY CARL? Already in the mid-80s, the need for such lines disappeared with the advent of engineering programmable calculators.
