Returning home from work on a bicycle, the author of Instructables, under the nickname ramhardikar, rode along bumps, causing the bicycle headlight to jump out of the mount, fall on the asphalt and hit a passing by motorcycle. The glass was crushed, the case cracked, but the battery compartment and LEDs were not damaged. So, you need to change only what is broken.
Of the three lantern parts shown below, the first was cracked:
But now there is this:
They say that people who are afraid to go to surgeons go to repairmen. The repairman has a right to make a mistake - to a certain extent, of course. But the desire to apply in homemade all sorts of medical stuff does not dress anywhere. How do you like such a plastic jar of vitamins?
And is this measuring cup from the syrup kit - for cough or allergy?
But then there are objects that have no relation to medicine. For example, a connector:
And foam rubber:
Once, changing a lamp near the stairs, the master drew attention to the cylindrical part that is available in almost every lamp holder. Why he will apply it - you'll find out later.
The LED bicycle light module is located in a separate small housing. The master dismantles it, solders the conductors to the board, then collects it back, passing the conductors through the holes in the case.
Puts the LED module in the syrup cup, dampens with foam rubber. And this cup, in turn, is inserted into the cylinder from the lamp holder, shown above:
The master attaches the mount to the lid of the vitamin can - it was not damaged, because it did not fall off with the headlight, but remained on the bicycle.
Installs the cylinder from the lamp holder with an LED module in it on the can cover, adding another damping piece of foam, glues it, passes the conductors through the holes:
Adds a connector:
Removes the cover from the battery compartment, solders the conductors, assembles it back. Wraps the compartment with batteries in a film for moisture protection. This is not very convenient.
Near:
Connects to the battery compartment in the same polarity the counterpart of the connector:
And finally, bring it all back to bike. The battery compartment is placed in an old cracked case.
There is nothing to worry about getting a bicycle headlight under a motorcycle. You can fix it. But a person cannot get under motorcycles and other vehicles. Follow traffic rules, be careful and careful.
