Hello dear readers. I want to bring to your attention an interesting homemade from the author of the YouTube channel, Andrey Vinnichuk - a twisted wire doorknob.
Such a homemade product will look good on massive doors or gates of any building.
For work, the author will use:
- steel wire with a diameter of 2 mm,
- steel rods of 8 and 10 mm,
- insert 40 mm
hemisphere,
2 mm thick metal

-welding machine,
T-shirts

rust converter and paint.
The first action in the manufacture of this homemade product, the author twists the wire into a pigtail. To do this, he uses a makeshift machine, which is based on a drill. Having fixed the wire in the machine, the author turns on the drill and she twists the workpieces into the necessary braid. With the help of a grinder, he cuts from a twisted wire a workpiece of the length he needs. Folds them in a bundle and welds the ends. Further, metal rods with a diameter of 8 mm are welded to the edge.
Now the next stage of work. For him, Andrei needed a metal curly strip, which he heats in the furnace. With the help of blacksmithing tools, he gives them the shape of a circle. For this, a metal rod was used, on which the strips were bent. Such details, as conceived by the author, need 4 pieces. The remaining unbent parts of the workpiece are trimmed. The author puts on these rings on twisted wire, tightening the wire tightly together. All the excess is carefully cut off from the base. The gaps on the rings are welded.
After the manipulations with the tightening rings, spacers are put on the ends of the rods. The rod is cut flush with it. From the inside, Andrei welds the spacer to the bar so that it fits snugly enough to the ring and does not move. Further, to those rings that are at the very edge, the author welds metal rods with a diameter of 10 mm and a length of 50 mm. At the ends of the handle, hemisphere caps are welded so that the finished product has a beautiful and finished look.
A paper flower template is glued onto a metal plate.After drying, it is clamped in a vice and cut out with a grinder. Such flowers need 2 pieces. They will fulfill the role of supporting the handle and fastener to the surface. In the center of each flower, a hole is drilled into which the handle rods are inserted and welded to them.
The product is almost ready. It remains only to give it a more attractive look, i.e. it needs to be painted. To begin with, the author covers the handle with a rust converter, applying it abundantly to the surface of the product, allowing it to flow freely into all the cracks between the parts of the handle. A rust converter is a chemical solution or primer that is applied to the surface of iron or an iron alloy, converts iron oxides (rust) into a protective barrier and prevents its further occurrence. After applying this primer, the author gives her the opportunity to dry and after that begins painting. After drying, the handle can be installed. To do this, holes for fasteners are provided on the petals. The length of the handle is 320 mm.
