If you have broken some household appliances, then I would not advise you to get rid of it right away, because in most cases some parts of this technique can be given a second life! Let me give you a concrete example: let's say you have an old refrigerator that does not freeze or anything else. Repair it, pump Freon into it, most likely it makes no sense. But this refrigerator has a compressor from which you can make so many interesting things, and most importantly - useful ones! This may be a tire inflation device, and an airbrushing machine, a spray gun! But you never know how to use this part of an unnecessary refrigerator.
So, the author of the YouTube channel TEXaS TV using a compressor made such an interesting homemade product for his needs - an air-gas burner!

In this homemade product, the main part is an old, but still working refrigeration compressor. The second, important detail - this is the tank from the blowtorch. It has one advantage over all other containers: one of the fittings goes down to the bottom of the container. In the tank, you need to make another hole for the manometer to monitor what pressure is inside.
After the author made a hole, he grinds the fitting on a lathe. The thread for the M12 nut is cut on it. Now you need to fix the fitting. Initially, the author did this with the help of a nut, which he managed to tighten onto the fitting from the inside. Throwing it there, by shaking it ensures that it stands on the thread of the twisted part. Then it installs a pressure gauge and checks the connections for air leakage. It turned out that the air from under this compound corrodes well. In my opinion, this connection is not very appropriate in this design, since there is no normal ability to tighten the parts tightly. Therefore, the author welds a nut. After checking for leaks, the paste eliminates air leakage from under the fitting.The air pumped into the tank does not go away, which is indicated by the readings of the device - the pressure gauge needle remains in place.
The next step is the manufacture of a platform for capacity and compressor. Marking is made on the profile pipe and the pipe is cut into pieces along it. It turns out 6 blanks. Two of them are equal to 40 cm, and the remaining 4 to 16. All received parts are laid out in the order that they should be ready-made. We weld them into a single design. All welds are thoroughly cleaned with a grinder.
For ease of movement around the workshop, the author bolts the wheels at the base corners, which are fastened with metal screws. The base is completely ready! It makes markings for mounting parts. The tank from the blowtorch to the frame will be attached using the corners welded to it. All parts are painted.
Now comes the most pleasant moment for any person who has ever done anything do it yourself - this is an assembly. The author fastens the details with furniture bolts M6. The electrical part of the compressor is closed with a plastic box for safe use. Then all hoses are connected between the compressor and the tank. Connections are fixed by collars. As an air filter on the compressor, a fuel filter from a car is used, from which everything unnecessary is removed. A pressure gauge with a tap is installed and the device is ready for inspection.
The pressure holds, therefore the device can be tested for its intended purpose. A certain amount of gasoline is poured into the filler neck. Connects the hose going to the burner, also made by the author himself. It turns on the compressor, waits for air to be pumped into the tank and opens the flow of the benzo-air mixture to the burner. Heals. The device is working. Tests it on different metals. The aluminum has melted; the rest of the test subjects heat up very quickly. This device also proved to be good at soldering. And the final touch - plugs are put on the ends of profile pipes.
