The Meander corner shelf, proposed by Instructables under the nickname AMbros Custom, is a good present for the developer of any technique that uses rectangular impulses in one way or another.
The master decides to make all the details homemade 20 mm thick plywood and cover with a 1 mm thick laminate. Instead of laminate, you can apply varnish, paint, vinyl film, or not paint plywood at all. Also, the master takes clamps, clamps, a respirator and various power tools.
First of all, the master puts plywood waste on the parts of the shelf, if they are of suitable size. And as waste does not remain, takes a new sheet. Vertical details are squares with a side of 280 mm, horizontal are the same squares, but one of the corners is made with a rounding with a radius of 140 mm.
The master shows the receipt of these curves separately. First, he marks out one of the parts and rounds off according to the marking, he polishes the ends.
Using this part as a template, the wizard rounds off the remaining horizontal parts in the same way.
The master cuts the laminate in two shades, one for the planes, the other for the ends. Thin stripes when cutting raises a tablet over the table.
Glues the laminate to the details of the shelf.
Gathers a shelf. As you can see, the upper and lower vertical parts are halved, and on each of them two corners are slightly rounded.
And finally, sets the finished shelf in the corner. And in another - one more the same.
But being in a corner for shelves is not a punishment. They really like to work on shelves. As a crocodile in the Soviet cartoon, I really liked working in a zoo as a crocodile.
Well, what you put on them depends on your preferences. Most interesting, of course, is something vintage.
